Peuk (BE)

Any review of Peuk's music will inevitably wind up referencing Sub Pop era nineties grunge. But that’s only because frontlady Nele Janssen has that knack for constructing sublime pop songs veiled in ratty riffs, crunching noise and the best quiet-loud dynamic this side of The Pixies. Just add to that a battle-scarred duo of drum and bass - what you get is Belgium’s most promising rock band, bar none.
